Kathy Alden is a jewelry designer and craftswoman living in Northern Virginia. She was born and raised on the island of Bermuda. There she acquired a love for the clear colors of the blue ocean and beautiful flowers. After that she lived in upstate New York for a time. It was a real contrast from Bermuda. She learned a lot about the contrasting seasons and gained a new palette of fall and winter colors. |

Her Jewelry design is an eclectic mix of whatever inspires her at the moment. Designs are a mix of precious stones, sterling silver, 14kt gold fill, glass, pottery and other materials. She finds materials at bead shows, direct from wholesale and the Internet. Another creative outlet is to find things second hand at yard sales and boutiques and give them a new look. This is often a source for unique and antique beads. Spirals are a reoccurring theme in her work and have always appealed to her. Hence the name Spiral Creations. |
